Policy Direction

We will go forward with concentration of all capabilities to realize the purpose and future feature of Korean Army.
Policy purpose is the direction point of going forward with concentration of all capabilities to realize the purpose and future feature of Korean Army. Current Korean Army is setting up “promoting elite advanced army” as policy purpose and carrying forward powerfully.
The policy keynote to achieve policy purpose established two kinds of types as strong force and mild Korean Army based on domestic and foreign awareness of situation in order to make settlement of majestic Korean Army supported by love and trust of people. And it carries forward four kinds of policy priorities as developing traditional value of Korean Army and the duty emphasized by the lines about Chief of Genera.
  • A. Strengthening combat operation capability of resolution to win against a powerful enemy
    Establish best system of military preparedness to punish instantly and powerfully against any sort of provocations from enemy through firm mental armament, practical education training and complete combat preparedness.
  • B. Construction of informative and scientific army leading future war
    Construct ground forces to maximize multiplier effectiveness of power management by developing to the force, military and power system suitable for future military action environment based on high tech military scientific technology.
  • C. Practical military management of high efficiency and low expense
    Manage advanced first class rate army maximizing practicality of army management and promoting national economic development by optimization of military assets and constant development for efficiency in resource management field.
  • D. Realization of Korean Army with people
    Establish Korean Army supported love and trust by people as creating advanced army culture corresponding with social development and realizing improvement of convenience for people and national policy.
